I'M IN LOVE WITH AN APRON!!!!.....

LOOK AT THIS!!!! My sweetpea friend, Tammy gave this to me!! We both have booths at 'The Carriage House" in Gray. The 1st time I walked into the shop, I went straight to her booth and bought 2 beautiful, handmade Marie Antoinette cards, vintage jewelry and an adorable little bird on a clothespin clip!! I immediately asked the owner of the shop if she knew if she(Tammy) posted pictures to Flickr and tried to find out any little tidbits about her....but she didn't really know any details. Sooooo, to make a long story short.....I finally met Tammy at the 1st meeting to discuss our 'Grand Opening' at the Carriage House. She was sitting at a table with her darling little daughter, Shelby. We just 'clicked'....you know how it is when you meet someone and you know that you instantly like that person...well, that's how the story went. We were supposed to work together this past Saturday at the grand opening but I was sick!!! Little did I know that Tammy had bought this beautiful apron to give to me that day!!! I went to the Carriage House, yesterday to see her for a minute and she had this waiting for me!!! The pictures DO NOT do this justice!!! Tammy has embellished it with the most beautiful flower brooch(it's removable so I can wear it with other things!!!), a vintage rhinestone pin, buttons and sequins!! I just can't believe it!!! It's perfect!!! She was donning one herself and she looked so cute!!! She also had it wrapped so pretty with gorgeous ribbons and the crinkled seam binding and an adorable card!!! Thank you soooo much for doing this, Tammy! As you can see in the picture, even Roosevelt loves it!!! You are a treasure, Tammy!!!

This is one of the 6 mantle tops that I have purchased from my friend, Cheryl Alexander. Her home has been featured in several magazines, including Home Companion & Country Living. She has also been featured on 3 episodes of Mary Emmerling's show that was on HGTV. For some reason HGTV stopped producing all my favorite shows!!! I really miss Kitty Bartholomew!!!

This is the 1st dress form with a hoop that I bought from Cheryl Alexander. She is the lady in the picture with me that's shown on a previous post. She is an amazing decorator and also the lady that finds the mantle tops for me!!

Guess What???? I've Been Tagged!!!!

Becky from "Lace and Lures" tagged me!! This is my first time being tagged since I have not been blogging very long so I am excited!!! Becky & I have been emailing back & forth about a wonderful antique shop that closed last year. We both like the same decor and we found out that we loved the same booths in that shop. I have been letting her know where the ladies are now so that she can visit their shops. Check out her blog....she and her husband are restoring a beautiful Victorian house that will soon be a Bed & Breakfast!!! It is gorgeous!!! If you have been tagged, here is what is requested: 1. I have always wanted an old Victorian house, even when I was in my 20's! The house my hubby & I had built in 1994 is not Victorian but I have it decorated in that style. We picked out this house plan because my husband wanted to be able to see the ponds from the windows. I don't know why...he is either working, golfing or watching t.v. ... not looking out the windows!!!lol 3. Until we bought a condo in Florida, in 2003, we always had a huge July 4th party complete with loads of fireworks. My family and friends really miss the parties & so do I but now I am at the beach with some of my family there watching all the fireworks!! 4. I am left-handed! 5. I am a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 2004. I am doing great now! Remember me in your prayers that I will forever now be cancer free. 6. I have 2 cats, Roosevelt and Stevie & they are like furry children. They are so rotten......I have 2 highchairs that they jump into whenever they want a treat. The reason for 2 highchairs is because I have alot of little grandchildren....at times...2 has not been enough!!!! I have pictures of the cats in the high chairs but for some reason I couldn't get them to post right here....they posted at the beginning so I deleted them! 7. I have always loved pink!! My mother and grandmother always bought pink for me and blue for my sister. Until last year, 2007, I never liked blue at all but now I love it. It's funny how things change!! Okay, enough about me!!!
