Finally I am able to post again!!!GUESS WHERE I AM!!!

I have been having trouble with my blog ever since my email address was changed from Alltel to Windstream!!! Anyway, here I am again! I also have a new laptop, which I love, & I bought a new book entitled "The Complete IDIOT'S Guide to Creating a Web Page & Blog" sixth edition!! I really hope to learn a lot from this book & CD-Rom that came with it. So far I haven't had time to get to the book yet. I have been too busy with my family for the past few weeks!!! I have been in beautiful, sunny Florida since June 27th. I brought my little granddaughers, Raven(age 7) & Brooklyn(age 4) with me. Poppy took them home to their mom & dad(my youngest son, Brandon) on Sunday, July 5th. The same day, my middle son, Chad & his wife, Kelly & their 2 daughters, Carly(7) & Emma(5) came to the condo for a few days. I have had soooo much fun watching my little sweet peas playing on the beach & in the pool. They are growing up so fast! These are pictures of Brooklyn & Raven! They are coming back with me to the beach in a couple of weeks, along with their big sissy, Madison!

Creating Vignettes & Dreams of a Victorian House!

As I have mentioned several times before, I love creating vignettes. Here are a few in my master bedroom. I am always changing and rearranging things. I find the need to do this since I am older. I guess I just need to change things around & make them fresh. Who knows why!?! I would love to have a huge, 2 story, Victorian house with 6 bedrooms upstairs & 3 bathrooms. I would be in Victorian, Romantic & Chic Heaven. I would have one bedroom in all shades of whites...white furniture with appliques, white linens, off white walls, lots of lace & frills. I would add a few flowers for a tiny bit of color, such as pale blue hydrangeous & light pink cabbage roses in silver tea pots. That would be just one bedroom upstairs!!!lol

MY "COUNTRY VICTORIAN" PHOTO SHOOT!!!

This is a picture of the "Fabulous Fifi" and Dan Mayers, the greatest photographer ever!!! They made my 1st photo shoot a piece of cake! They are both such wonderful people and so down to earth! They make you feel like family!! They overlooked the dust bunnies that I missed, my kitty, Stevie, who hisses at everyone, and the fact that I just have too many things in my home!!lol
I first met Fifi, Sylvie...her sister & Dan in January when they came to my home after shooting Jennifer Hayslip's gorgeous home (http://www.sweeteyecandycreations.typepad.com) Dan took lots of scout shots & submitted them to Country Victorian and now my dream is coming true! I am still in shock!!! Here is Fifi staging my parlor! Here is one of Fifi & myself, still obviously giddy with excitement!!!lol

"EN LE JARDIN"

The "Queen Flower Fairy" Jennifer Hayslip is the most gorgeous and gracious hostess. She never misses a beat! She made certain that everything was perfect for her "Flower Fairies"! There were so many details..in the garden and in her beautiful home! Under the white garden tent, the tables were set with beautiful vintage tablecloths. Each place setting had a vintage hankie with gorgeous silverware! She treated each of us to a box with gorgeous treasures & a hand made card with our names on them. Here is mine and Kristen's!
The tables were also adorned with beautiful flowers in pinks and whites!
Look at the pink cupcakes. They tasted as "pretty & pink" as they look!!
Such a gorgeous Victorian setting in the garden!

The statues were adorned with beautiful crowns with romantic flowers & sweet butterflies!

My Poor Husband!!!

He has really been through the ringer!! On May 8th, he had surgery for internal hemorrhoids. As if that wasn't enough for him to suffer through, not even 2 hours after we returned home from the hospital, he had a heart attack. The doctor said he had a large blood clot that formed at the entrance of his stent from his previous heart attack, 4 years ago. While in the hospital, he was unable to breathe & we thought he was having another heart attack. Finally, after many tests, his doctor said his iron level was only at 8.5 & should be between 15 to 16 & he was just before having to have a blood transfusion. After giving him iron tablets, he was able to come home. Everything was going great until this past Tuesday. He started bleeding alot. I took him to the E.R. early Wednesday morning. He was admitted for observation because the bleeding had stopped. On Thursday a.m. he started bleeding again & the dr. finally found the area & cauterized the blood vessel. On Friday a.m. he started bleeding again, so we went to the dr's office & he cauterized him again. Friday evening...started bleeding again!! This time we applied pressure & gobs of vaseline. So far, very little bleeding! He has to stay in the bed until it heals!! Poor Baby! He is such a good man & doesn't deserve this!! He has been tired for the last 6 years & suffered from shortness of breath. We now know that it was because his iron level has been depleted for so long because of bleeding almost each day from his hemorrhoids. He had 2 colonoscopies during the last 6 yrs. & told the doctor that preformed them that his hemorrhoids were bleeding alot. The doctor said they didn't look bad to him!!! Can you believe that!! Everyone is born with 3 hemorrhoid veins. Your lifestyle really determines if you will have any problems. Steve is a big, muscular guy & is an avid golfer. Maybe he will be healed in a few weeks & can play golf again. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest!!!lol

My Cottage Home...painted by Jo-Anne Coletti

This is a picture of my home that the fabulous Jo-Anne Coletti painted for me. You can have an oil painting of your cottage, too. Check out her site http://www.vintagerosecollection/ and you can find out how. Jo-Anne really captured my home...it looks exactly like this!! She added her own touches of beautiful pink rose vines, rose hedges & pink dogwood trees. I can't wait to see it in person! Thanks so much, Jo-Anne. You are amazing!!
