HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!! CATHY SCALISE OF TREASURE HEIRLOOMS HOSTED An "AMOUR VALENTINE SWAP". HERE IS THE BEAUTIFUL VALENTINE BOX THAT I RECEIVED FROM JENNIFER OF JENN'S PETAL PALACE: It is so pretty...covered in one of my favorite fabrics ever...roses & teapots!! It has beautiful trims of ribbons & ruffled crepe paper & the top is embellished with beautiful roses! Inside the box was filled to the brim with all these lovelies:little heart boxes that look like cakes in lavender & pink, a heart wand, a beautiful salt & pepper shaker set with handpainted roses, a lovely handpainted pillow, a hand vase to add to my collection...with handpainted roses & even a handpainted doily hanging! I love everything! She really spoiled me rotten!! ohhhh, & not pictured...a box of candy!!!

"IT WAS A SWEET, SWEET DAY"....A few of us girls went to Marietta to visit our friend, Rosalyn-Sue for a day of shopping & crafting!

She spoiled us rotten!! First we had lunch & got to meet her wonderful mom & grandmother! We then went shopping on the square at a couple of antique shops & a great scrapbook shop. After that, we made a quick stop at Starbucks & then back to Rosalyn-Sue's to make these beautiful Valentine boxes. Not only did she supply EVERYTHING to make these gorgeous boxes but she provided us with beautiful candies to fill them up! She made beautiful cupcakes & macaroons & cheese straws for us to munch on while making our Valentine boxes. Oh my goodness...you should see her killer craft studio!! It is so beautiful & so well organized. My pictures of the girls & her studio turned out fuzzy but hopefully I can get some from the other better photographers & share them with you later!

"PINK LACE VALENTINE BOX" Here are.pictures of the goodies I sent to my swap partner for Cathy Scalise's Valentine Swap: a valentine collage hanging that I made using the little girl image I got from Sandy Camarda, www.distressrelief.etsy.com, a sweet tussie mussie & card from Rhea of sweet n' shabby roses,a gorgeous pink lace glove from Aunt May's Cottage, a handkerchief pillow from an antique shop & some gorgeous lace from my lace collection.

CATHY'S "ARMOUR" VALENTINE SWAP

Cathy Scalise hosted a Valentine Swap.

This is the Valentine Box I made.  I covered it in layers of satin & tulle ribbon, giving it a poufy look.
I then added ribbon roses & vintage rhinestone jewels to add a little bling. My final touch was to add a beautiful pink marabou feather fan. I thought it turned out rather soft & romantic.
I really hope Jennifer of Jennifer's Petal Palace likes it.

IT WAS A CUPCAKE SORT OF DAY!!

YOU KNOW....A DAY WHEN YOUR LITTLE CUPCAKE GRANDDAUGHTER IS OVER, NOT FEELING VERY WELL....JUST THE PERFECT DAY TO LET HER BAKE CUPCAKES! SHE LOVES TO HELP IN THE KITCHEN! I LET HER POUR THE MIX IN THE BOWL, CRACK THE EGGS, ADD THE OIL & WATER & I EVEN LET HER USE THE HAND MIXER. SHE PUT ALL THE CUPCAKE PAPERS IN THE PAN & SPOONED THE BATTER IN, WITH JUST A LITTLE HELP FROM MIMI. AFTER THE CUPCAKES WERE BAKED & COOLED, I SHOWED HER HOW TO SQUEEZE THE BUTTON ON THE FROSTING CAN & SHE ACTUALLY DID A VERY GOOD JOB! SHE DID ALL THE SPRINKLES BY HERSELF, TOO.  IT'S FUN MAKING SPECIAL CUPCAKE MEMORIES WITH BROOKLYN!!  JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE!!!
