He has really been through the ringer!! On May 8th, he had surgery for internal hemorrhoids. As if that wasn't enough for him to suffer through, not even 2 hours after we returned home from the hospital, he had a heart attack. The doctor said he had a large blood clot that formed at the entrance of his stent from his previous heart attack, 4 years ago. While in the hospital, he was unable to breathe & we thought he was having another heart attack. Finally, after many tests, his doctor said his iron level was only at 8.5 & should be between 15 to 16 & he was just before having to have a blood transfusion. After giving him iron tablets, he was able to come home. Everything was going great until this past Tuesday. He started bleeding alot. I took him to the E.R. early Wednesday morning. He was admitted for observation because the bleeding had stopped. On Thursday a.m. he started bleeding again & the dr. finally found the area & cauterized the blood vessel. On Friday a.m. he started bleeding again, so we went to the dr's office & he cauterized him again. Friday evening...started bleeding again!! This time we applied pressure & gobs of vaseline. So far, very little bleeding! He has to stay in the bed until it heals!! Poor Baby! He is such a good man & doesn't deserve this!! He has been tired for the last 6 years & suffered from shortness of breath. We now know that it was because his iron level has been depleted for so long because of bleeding almost each day from his hemorrhoids. He had 2 colonoscopies during the last 6 yrs. & told the doctor that preformed them that his hemorrhoids were bleeding alot. The doctor said they didn't look bad to him!!! Can you believe that!! Everyone is born with 3 hemorrhoid veins. Your lifestyle really determines if you will have any problems. Steve is a big, muscular guy & is an avid golfer. Maybe he will be healed in a few weeks & can play golf again. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest!!!lol

So sorry to hear that your dear Husband has been so unwell Sherry. I hope he is on the road to recovery. Sending blessings to the both of you, Suzanne.
Here's hoping your sweet muscle man will be back on the links and under par again in no time... take it easy and try to find the silver lining in this time together while you nurse him back to health. Let him alternate the remote control between the Golf Channel and Oprah. All will be better soon.
